Fitness Safety Orientation

Lite n’ Lively

Growing Young

Did you know that we can choose how we want to age? This program is designed to show how anyone can stay feeling young and vibrant. The gentle techniques target poor posture, chronic pain, back & joint issues, hip & knee replacements, loss of energy & mobility and prevent muscle atrophy. Growing Young is suitable for everyone, no matter their age. Exercises include mostly chair based and some standing.

Zumba Gold

Zumba is an aerobic based activity using Latin dance steps and is suitable for all fitness levels. Ditch the workout and join the Dance Party!

Circuit Training

Fridays, January 17th – March 27th
1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

Combination of body movement with or without resistance as well as using a variety of fitness equipment. This will be a full body workout from high intensity to low impact and everything in between. These classes will help build strength and endurance all at your own pace.

Health & Wellbeing Workshops

SESSION 1: Fridays, January 10th – February 14th from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. (5 weeks)

SESSION 2: Fridays, February 28th – April 3rd from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. (6 weeks)

Variety of topics will be covered during this 6 week series. **Must have prior meditation experience or taken Intro to Meditation with Sue to attend this workshop series.

PLEASE NOTE: Please register in the time slot that you played in in the springtime. We will be capping the registration for each slot at 32 participants. If there is space, we will facilitate the movement of players between the groups, after the program begins in September. So if you are wanting a different time slot then before, we can discuss this in September.

Slot times may be adjusted due to registration numbers.All registered players must have taken lessons. Lessons are available through the leisure guide.

Pickleball Drop-in Policy

In order to ensure that we do not have an excessive number of players for any group, drop-in players will not be permitted to play on that day, in that time slot, if by the time play begins there are 28 or more Registered Pickleball Members already in attendance. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS!

*Drop in fees are $3 for members, $5 for non-members. Non-members will be asked to join St. James 55+ after three drop-ins!
