Pickleball was created with one thing in mind: FUN! It was designed to be easy to learn and play whether you’re five, eighty-five or somewhere in between. Pickleball is traditionally played on a badminton-sized court with special Pickleball paddles made of wood or high-tech aerospace materials. The ball used is similar to a whiffle ball, but slightly smaller. The lower net and whiffle ball allow the game to be accessible to people of all ages and abilities and is currently one of the fastest growing sports in North America.
PLEASE NOTE: New pickleball members MUST already know how to play OR sign up for our introductory lessons which will be available on the first Wed. and Fri. of April, May, and June from 1:45 – 2:45 at SHCC.
Interested parties should contact samantha at the Centre 204-987-8850 ext. 105 first to sign up for the lessons.
Pickleball Drop-in Policy
Please note that in order to ensure that we do not have an excessive number of players for any group, drop-in players will not be permitted to play on that day, in that time slot, if ——-
– by the time play begins there are 28 or more Registered Pickleball Members already in attendance.
Thank you.
